Watlington Marathon Challenge 2021

This is a joint fundraising event hosted by Watlington Preschool and Watlington Primary School's PTA.  We will also be donating a portion of the funds raised to our village 'Church Roof Fund'. 

 

Your challenge is to run, walk, scoot, cycle or swim the distance equivalent to a marathon - thats 26.2 miles - between 1st June and 31st July 2021.  Not all in one go but over a period of time - but if you want to do it all in one go you can!! 

 

IF YOUR CHILD ATTENDS WATLINGTON PRESCHOOL OR WATLINGTON CP SCHOOL THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN ENTERED INTO THE CHALLENGE THROUGH THEIR SCHOOL AT NO COST TO THE FAMILY.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER THEM THROUGH THIS WEBSITE. 

 

This year the Preschool are raising money to upgrade their outside garden area with the addition of some large outdoor play equipment.  The Primary School PTA are raising funds to replace the well-worn sleepers in the Reception/Year 1 playground, as well as funds to help celebrate the school's 40th anniversary. 

 

Entry is £5 per person - for this, you get a downloadable activity tracker and once the challenge is completed you'll also receive a medal and a certificate. 

 

REMEMBER - Children attending Watlington Preschool and Watlington CP School have already been entered into the challenge, at no cost to the family, so please do not register their details. 

 

Entry closes on 4th June 2021 and all challenges should be completed by 31st July 2021.  Anyone can enter - so please help us to spread the word and get your friends and family involved too!  

 

Remember, when you are completing the challenge you must do so as safely as possible by observing current government guidelines and social distancing rules.
