Virtual Competition Summer 2021
Fancy competing against other classes from around the country in a brand new national competition? At The School Run, we are delighted to announce details of our Virtual Competition - Summer 2021 for schools and groups.
This competition is perfect to enter during a time with inter and intra school sports competitions are difficult due to the ongoing pandemic.
Our competition is a straightforward but motivating concept. We set your class/group the following three challenges:
- Shuttle Run
- Throw, Clap and Catch Challenge
- Jumping Coordination Challenge
These challenges require very little equipment or space and challenges can be slightly adapted for infant children so to make them accessible by all and completely inclusive.
Each pupil will earn points for their class based on their performance/ability in the above challenges. These points are then combined with others in the class/group giving an overall average score which is then compared to other classes nationally. The class/group in age year group with the highest average score is crowned the overall winner at the end of the competition. The winning class will receive a prestigious trophy engraved with the school/class name on it.
It's not all about winning though and instead more about children taking part in physical activity, promoting healthy lifestyles and competing against other schools from all over the country. During the competition window, you can practise the events as little or as often as you want in order to prepare the children.
There are no supply costs, no transport is needed and no risk assessments need to be written. Instead, simply incorporate the challenges into your PE lessons over a number of weeks. We have categories for every year group so the competition is fair.

The competition will run from Monday 3rd May until Friday 18th June 2021 and the cost of entering starts at just £5 per class.
Upon entering, you will receive full instructions of how to complete each of the three challenges including demonstration videos and easy to follow guides.

Package 1 - £5 per class (max 35 pupils)

Package 2 - £12 per class (max 35 pupils)
- Entry to the inter school competition and the chance to win a trophy for the highest scoring class across the country
- Video guides and full instructions on how to complete each activity
- Easy to enter online scoring sheets
- Downloadable certificate with the option to generate own personalised certificates
- A template letter to share with parents if you wish to
- Stickers to award to all pupils with class/school name on
- 3 medals to award to pupils of your choice with class or school name on (design shown below)
Package 3 - £75 per class (max 35 pupils)
- Entry to the inter school competition and the chance to win a trophy for the highest scoring class across the country
- Video guides and full instructions on how to complete each activity
- Easy to enter online scoring sheets
- Downloadable certificate with the option to generate own personalised certificates
- A template letter to share with parents if you wish to
- Stickers to award to all pupils with class/school name on
- Medals to award every pupil of in your class (24 - 32 pupils) Please email us if you have more pupils
